Investment Planning Services

Investment planning services turn your savings into a clear, written plan to reach your goals.
We build the plan around you, list every fee in plain dollars, and never push a product you don’t need.

Fiduciary Advice, With Every Fee in Writing

The biggest risk in investing is not the market, it is paying for advice you cannot see or measure.
We are fiduciaries on your investment accounts, so we put your interests first by law, and we are fee-based.
We put every fee and any commission in writing in plain dollars, and some products like certain annuities and insurance may pay us a commission, which we always tell you about before you commit.
You can check us for free on FINRA BrokerCheck and the SEC adviser records site, and confirm our insurance license through the National Insurance Producer Registry.

The Services We Offer

We build your whole plan, not just pick one fund.

Who Investment Planning Services Are Right For

Most people we meet have investments but no real plan, and a plan is what turns saving into reaching your goals.
It is for you if you are a few years from retiring, if you are just starting in your 30s, 40s, or 50s with little saved, or if you have an old 401k you need to move.
You do not need a big balance to start, because we help people at every level and grow with you, whether you invest twenty five dollars a month or millions.
We work with people across the country by video, including retirees who want a plan built around income and protecting what they saved, like our financial advisor for seniors service.

Why Investing Is Not Gambling

The worry we hear most is that the market is just gambling, but there is a science to it that lowers the risk.
We never put all your money in one place, and spreading it across many investments, called diversification, softens a bad year in any one of them.
We also invest a set amount every month, so we buy more when prices are low and lock in gains when they are high.
Over time that steady, spread out approach turns a scary market into a plan you can stick with.

What Is In Your Written Plan

Everyone we help gets a simple written plan built around your goals, not ours.
It shows three things in plain dollars: how much you need for your goal, how much you will have if you keep doing what you are doing now, and how much you could have if you follow our plan.
Whether the goal is retirement, a home down payment, or paying cash for a car, the plan puts a real number and a timeline on it.
If you want us to manage the plan for you, that is part of our Wealth Management and Retirement Planning service.

How Our Investment Planning Process Works

We start with your goals and your numbers, not a product, so the plan fits your life instead of a sales quota.
Then we match your money to the right mix for how long until you need it, and we review and adjust it on a schedule you understand.

  • Discovery call: talk through your goals, timeline, income needs, and comfort with risk.
  • Your written plan: we share simple teaching and give you a plan built for your perfect fit.
  • Execute: we help you open the accounts, and for a 401k rollover we handle the whole move.
  • Ongoing review: we adjust the plan as markets and your life change.

Investment Planning Services, Frequently Asked Questions

How much do investment planning services cost?

Cost depends on how you work with us. A fee based on your account size usually runs 0.5 to 1.5 percent a year. A flat plan often costs 2,000 to 5,000 dollars. Hourly rates usually run 150 to 350 dollars an hour. We put your exact price in writing, in plain dollars, before you agree to anything.

Is $500,000 enough to need investment planning services?

Yes, and so is less. There is no set dollar amount you need, because a good plan comes from having clear goals and a way to reach them. We work with new investors building wealth. We also work with families protecting years of savings. So 500,000 dollars or a smaller account both qualify for a real plan.

How do I switch to a new investment planning advisor?

Switching is easier than most people think. You sign one transfer form, and your new advisor and the old firm handle most of the paperwork, which usually finishes in one to three weeks. We review your current statements first, check for any exit fees, and keep your money invested the whole time so nothing sits in cash.

How do you decide how to invest my money?

We start with your goals, timeline, income needs, and comfort with risk. Then we set a target return and a mix of investments to reach it. We keep taxes and fees low, and we adjust the plan on a schedule you understand, not by reacting to news.

Do you earn commissions?

We are fee-based. Most of our planning and portfolio advice is billed as a clear fee. Some products, like certain annuities and insurance, may also pay us a commission. We put every fee and commission in writing before you commit.

How do I verify an investment advisor is legitimate?

Look up the firm for free on the SEC Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site. Check the advisor on FINRA BrokerCheck too. Both show licenses, history, and anything reported, so you never have to take a sales pitch on faith.

What should I expect at my first meeting?

Your first meeting is free, with no obligation. We listen to your goals and look at your current situation. We explain our fee-based pricing in plain dollars and show you how we would build your plan. There is no pressure to sign anything.
